Last Post of the Year

If something is destined to happen, it will happen without your interference

In the beginning:
Macbeth learns from the 3 Witches that he is going to be King. Once he knows that he is going to become king, he does whatever it takes for that to happen. He kills Duncan. Not only does he kill Duncan, one of the nicest characters in any Shakespeare play, but he ends up killing even more innocent people. But he does become king. Even if it is only for a short period of time.

Towards the end:
The 3 Witches tell Macbeth three things. 1: Beware of Macduff. 2: Nobody born of a woman can hurt him. And 3: His rein will last as long as the forest doesn't move to the hill. Macbeth is pretty eased when he learns this because the last 2 pretty much say he can't be defeated. But in the end, Macbeth is indeed defeated. Nothing was really as it seemed. The forest didn't actually move to the hills, but what the witches said did happen, and Macbeth was defeated.

I had so much fun posting and commenting in english class. I had a great year with you guys and I hope each and every one of you has a fantastic Summer break!

  1. I like your thoughts on how you said that he ended up being defeated at the end. That is a smart way of thinking about it. It is sad that it is the last blog post of the year. :( I didn't realize it. I love you blog, Nina. It is so cute and fun to read!
