Jazz Fest- Free Post

I went to JazzFest for spring break this year. I went for 3 days and saw the Avett Brothers, Robin Thicke, Royal Teeth, and Vampire Weekend. It was so much fun. I got very sunburned and walked about 10 miles each day.  We left Friday morning and went straight to the festival. We were so tired and burned by the end of the day. On Saturday we slept in and left around noon. On Sunday, we left a little early and went straight to the stage Vampire Weekend was going to be and we got spots in the very front, the closest to the stage we could be without VIP passes.

As the day progressed, the more and more crowded it got. We made a few friends, and met a few people we didn't like. We were in the same spot all day in the sun for 6 hours. We saw 5 different bands and they were all pretty good. When Vampire Weekend started, my friends and I asked a staff member if e could push the barricades forward. He said no. But he said he would try to help us if we needed anything. About halfway through the show, he came up to me with another man and asked me for my name. Then he handed me a bottle of water and told me that I wasn't feeling well and he was going to help me over the fence so I could "sit down and feel better". I got to watch Vampire Weekend UP CLOSE. It was the coolest experience I have ever had and I will never forget that staff member.

4-15-14: CHoose 2 prompts

If something is destined to happen, it will happen without your interference
I went to a different school from pre-k to 5th grade. We would have one or two field trips a year and they would assign groups. The way they picked the groups was counting heads and giving numbers to everyone. My friends and I would always move around the room so we would be more likely to be in the same group. Unfortunately  someone would always miscount and end up in a different group. Sometimes it was me. Throughout the years, the teachers would catch on and count differently, so we would have been in the same group if we had stayed where we were.
Some things are destined or fated to happen
One of my best friends went to the same sunday school as me all of our childhood and we never knew each other until many years later. When she came to my bat mitzvah (all the way from Mississippi), her mom recognized the temple and told her that they went to this same temple. We never met when she was here, but when we were 10, we were in the same cabin. We weren't even friends then! The last week of the session, I was going to be in the talent show with another girl but she decided not to do it. So Hannah joined me instead. We are the best of friends and we would't have met if my other friend had done the show with me.
