California English- Vapire Weekend

The song, California English, is very different from all other songs. The way it is sung is extremely hard to understand. To me, it all sounds like nonsense. But when you read the lyrics, it is surprising that they are actually saying real words.
Every sentence is very short. There are lots of commas but they don't break up the idea. They use sibilance and the way the words are pronounced creates an onomatopoeia. (they sound like someone with a Californian accent). It also has repetitive alliteration.

I read
Monday 10 min of perks of being a wallflower
Tuesday 10 min of perks of being a wallflower
Wednesday 10 min of perks of being a wallflower
Thursday 30 min of perks of being a wallflower
Friday 10 min of perks of being a wallflower
Saturday-Sunday 45 min of perks of being a wallflower
Monday-20 min of analyzing and writing a poem ( I had writers block...)

I have brain block

I have brain block
tick tock goes the clock
Every passing minuet a reminder
Of the school assignment in my binder
ugh!
This poem is giving me pain
erf.
Okay okay, lets try this again!

I have a brain block
Tick tock goes the clock
"Will you stop it you darn thing?"
"I haven't even started to begin."
Arg. Bleh. Oh.
Each moment goes by slow
Aha! Ive done it! Hooray!
I wrote my poem today!

Draft Reflection

I am pretty confident in my draft. I spent a lot of time making it the best I could. I think finding out the deadline was moved back last minute was for the best and made me work harder to get it finished at the original time. When I saw that it was due Monday instead of Friday, I was very relieved because I needed a lot of time to make it better. If I had seen the new time earlier, I would have put it off until today.
I am most concerned for the format and the sources. I am still a bit confused on how things are organized, but I used my Norton book, SO I should be o.k. Organization is also another concern for the draft. It is not super clustered, but it is not perfect. Overall, I am fairly comfortable with the results of this draft.

02-03-14

I spent way more than 4 hours working on reading, writing, and researching this week!
Tuesday and Wednesday- I did wordly wise cards for about 15 minutes, read for 45, and researched for 10.
Thursday was a work day: I spent the whole day writing my draft and looking up more websites that explain Israel and Syrian conflicts. I would say a total of 5 hours were spent working.
Then on Sunday: I spent another hour working on the draft.
And I spent another hour today on my paper and 10 min. from class reading.
