This Summer, I read The Knife of Never Letting Go. I really hated it in the beginning. I didn't like how things were spelled wrong. Once the plot picked up a little, I started to really like this book. I could not put it down! I felt the feelings Todd, the main character, felt. This book has a fast pace without any rests.
The action was non-stop! I don't really like books with action but I really enjoyed all the intensity in this. I could never guess what was about to happen. Many of my favorite characters died. I didn't like that very much, but Todd and Viola kept going. They didn't ever stop. Thats why the ending is so disappointing. Todd and Viola are so close to finding what they have been looking for, and then Viola is shot! Everything is at an upward slope and then everything suddenly drops! And everything they worked for was over. I was so disappointed. But I guess thats why there is a second book. I hope everything is resolved in the next books!
I agree with you Nina. When I started to read I hated it, but just like you said when the action picked up it got better. I also did not like how things were spelled wrong. One of my favorite characters died as well. That character was Manchee. I was sad when he died, but happy that Todd and Viola kept going. It's funny how much we are alike, I had no idea!
ReplyDeleteSee, I always liked it from the beginning. I thought the misspelling of words was different and really creative, but it was kind of unrealistic how Aaron kept coming back from the dead. Also, heard they were making a movie of it, and I know it is not going to be good, because you can't do the noise in the movie only in the book.
ReplyDeleteIt only confused me a little at the beginning, but I wan't sure if I didn't like it or not. It was a pretty good book, but I hated how everyone was after him and he had no time, it made me so mad.
